Secrets Of The Sky – Something Wicked Goes On Tour

West Coast atmospheric progressive doom metallers Secrets of the Sky have just announced a charge of tour dates beginning in March. See below for the list of dates. If you don’t see your city, all hope isn’t lost as the band will be adding additional dates.

Secrets of the Sky will be touring in support of their debut album, To Sail Black Waters (2013). If you haven’t heard it, check out the video in the player above for their track “Decline.” Directed by Andrew Nethery (Melvins, Kyuss Lives, Dead Meadow), the video is narrative and as atmospheric as the song itself, which is reach, low, and heavy. I love how the clean vocals (Garett Gazay) don’t do what metalcore bands tend to do, which is to sing like they’re in Blink 182 or Sum 41. However, I think I detect some subtle use of autotune.

After hearing “Decline” you should be wanting more from the band. Lucky for you Earsplit records has made To Sail Black Waters available in its entirety at SoundCloud.

Once this quick tour is done, look for Secrets of the Sky to head back out on the road with Godhunter for a run through the Southwestern quarter of the U.S.
