Rivers Of Nihil’s Van Gets Robbed + Guitar Playthrough Video

Last night, May 14th, in St. Louis, Missouri, on the very first night Rivers of Nihil hit the road with Whitechapel and Revocation (before joining up with DevilDriver, Carnifex, and Fit For An Autopsy on May 17th), their van was broken into. The dickheads who did it made off with gear and personal items.

See River of Nihil’s list of tour dates below.

Anyone who’s spent any amount of time with these bands knows that even the bigger names (and Rivers of Nihil certainly is not a “bigger” name) are essentially working class Joes and aren’t exactly raking in boat loads of cash. It’s beyond me why someone or some persons would rob from a band who has just embarked on the biggest tour of their career. It’s damn near the lowest of the low.

I hope these punks get the torture porn treatment.

If you’d like to help Rivers of Nihil get some clothes and help them recoup some funds and gear, you can make a donation through their paypal at: riversofnihilpa@yahoo.com

In happier news, Nihil has posted a video of guitarist Jon Kunz playing through “Soil & Seed,” which appears on their latest album, The Conscious Seed of Light. Watch as Jon shows off his new Lace Pickups and his Orange Amp in the player above.

It’s a great video and it’s awesome to see Jon playing… he makes it look so damn easy.

Nihil also recently posted the video for the brutal track “Birth of the Omnisavior.” Check that out right here:

What do you think is the proper punishment for robbing from a band?
