Red Eye Review:

Wes Craven’s departure from horror into the thriller genre is mostly successful with Red Eye. Starring Rachel McAdams as hotel manager Lisa Reisert and Cillian Murphy as hit-man-for-hire Jackson Rippner, Red Eye tells the story of a political assassination orchestrated at 30,000 feet. Rippner needs the secretary for homeland security moved from his usual room at Reisert’s place of employment in order for the assassination to be successful. When Reisert, at the last minute, flew to Miami to visit her mother, Rippner was forced to arrange the move aboard Reisert’s return flight. Using her father’s life as a motivator to comply to his demands, Rippner forces Reisert to phone the hotel and move the Secretary — but Rippner didn’t factor in Reisert’s determination.
