Breaking news coming here directly from today’s edition of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. Former and first WEC Middleweight Champion Chris “The Crippler” Leben (22–11) gave the show an update on his future in the and made it pretty clear he won’t be competing in the organization again.
Has he officially retired from combat sport? Not entirely; he still has plans to help train other fighters as team coach at Victory MMA and Fitness, which is the largest gym in San Diego.
Leben was on a four-fight losing streak in the UFC with the most recent one to Ultimate Fighter Season 17 finalist Uriah Hall; Leben went out in the very first round by TKO at UFC 168.
We wish him all the best and Leben will forever be remembered by us all.
