Although, Ti West has already established himself as a great in the genre, his future as an acclaimed filmmaker is going to be brighter and seems to be heading in the same footsteps as Eli Roth. Why? Because he will now pen and direct a new film that will star two big Hollywood names. In my opinion, this is frigging great news for an indie filmmaker that kick started his career with a short film titled The Wicked in 2001, and continued to release fantastic horrors like The House of the Devil and The Innkeepers.
According to THR, John Travolta (Pulp Fiction) and Ethan Hawke (Training Day) are tapped in his next project, which is said to be a “revenge Western film set in the 1890s.” The film already has a slick title, Valley of Violence, that will be produced by Jason Blum and his Blumhouse production company. Blum previously produced low-budget genre movies like the Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and Sinister franchises.
There’s no further details about Valley of Violence yet, but we’ll definitely keep Yellers in the loop. Keep your eyes peeled for this one because it’s going to be sick!
