King Hazard is normally the one covering news of Hatchet III, but I also revel in the blood of the franchise and of Mr. Victor Crowley.
You’re not going to want to miss this film. Here’s why according to Michael Paszt of Raven Banner,
“It’s chock full of stunts and jaw-dropping gore effects that raise both the bar and the body count of the previous two films put together.”
Anchor Bay will be bringing Hatchet III to DVD this summer. If you’re lucky enough to live in Canada, the film will be a part of Cineplex Entertainment and Raven Banner’s Sinister Cinema, which means it will be screened in 25 theaters across Canada on July 24th. Visit the official site for participating theaters.
Hatchet III synopsis:
While a heavily armed team of mercenaries takes to the bayou surrounding Crowley’s home, Marybeth finds herself begrudgingly teaming up with a local policeman (Zach Galligan of Gremlins, Waxwork) and his ex-wife (Caroline Williams The Texas ChainsawMassacre 2 and Rob ’s Halloween II) – an expert on the maniac who may have uncovered the secret to ending the murderous rampage once and for all.
Hatchet III is written and executive produced by franchise creator Adam Green. B.J. McDonnell will make his directorial debut in this installment, expanding on his work in the camera and electrical department on the two prior Hatchet films, as well as Battle: Los Angeles, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects and Halloween.
The Hatchet III soundtrack was composed by Bear McCreary, the man behind the scores for Battlestar Galactica,, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Also joining the cast of Hatchet III is Cody Blue Snider, the son of Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider, popular geek goddess Rileah Vanderbilt, and genre king Sid Haig.
