The Descent Review:

This film is what The Cave should’ve been. Where it failed in giving you a reason to become creeped-out, The Descent gave it to you in spades, with a healthy dose of shock blended in. The Descent was directed by UK filmmaker Neil Marshall who also gave us the werewolf thriller Dog Soldiers back in 2002. This film tells the story of a group of women who get together annually for an adventure. Each year it is different and this year’s is a descent into and exploration of a subterranean cave system. What they encounter will cost most of them their lives. What it is I will leave a mystery as it will spoil the whole movie if known beforehand.
