Since we didn’t get a chance to attend the first screening and bring you a review, we decided to drop the above picture gallery and the first video clip (below), to help shed some light on Stoker, a film influenced by Bram Stoker’s Dracula and described as a Hitchcockian thriller. However, the film is “not about vampires,” although we think that could have been cool.

The Korean director is known for his revenge trilogy, which includes the ultra-violent Oldboy, and he favored directing Stoker, screenplay by Prison Break star Wentworth Miller, over Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy and The Evil Dead remake. Apparently, Miller’s script was voted to the 2010 “Black List” of the 10 best unproduced screenplays making the rounds in Hollywood.

After India’s father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie, whom she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother, Evelyn. Soon after his arrival, India begins to suspect this mysterious, charming man has disturbing ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, the friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.

Stoker is currently slated for a limited theater release on March 1. It was produced by Ridley Scott and stars Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, and Matthew Goode.

That means we officially got two more days left on the calender before Leatherface fills up the theater floors with blood once again, but in glorious 3-D this time around. We have featured plenty of mind-splattering updates for the film such as trailers, poster designs, cast and crew featurette, and stills from Texas Chainsaw 3D. Hatchet III will pick up the story from where Hatchet II left off. Danielle Harris will reprise her role as Marybeth Dunstan, and newer stars are along for the ride as well: Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th), Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs), and others.

BJ McDonnell directed the Adam Green-written/produced Hatchet III. The film is expected to be released next year, as it stands in post-production at the moment.

A year after the events of Hatchet II, Marybeth Dunstan has sheltered herself from the world and is living in Honey Island Swamp to stop Victor Crowley from coming back and killing more tourists.

As this is the very first TV series that will be based on Hannibal Lector, a fictional character created by Thomas Harris for his novel The Silence of the Lambs that was also adapted to film in the ’90s of the same name, and brilliantly portrayed by award-winning actor, Anthony Hopkins. It’s now up to Mads Mikkelsen (Valhalla Rising, Casino Royale) to pick up the role from Hopkins, and add his own touch to the cannibalistic serial killer. I’m hoping he can pull off an amazing performance just like Heath Ledger did with his take as the Joker in The Dark Knight, previously played by Jack Nicholson.

I’m definitely sensing a win for NBC’s Hannibal tv series based on the new pictures above, as it looks to very bloody and creepy at the same time. You can expect the first season (13 episodes) to begin in spring of 2013.

The world premiere of Hitchcock will be presented at the AFI FEST 2012 in Hollywood, California on November 1st, and will get a limited theater release on November 23, 2012.

Obviously, the first thing you get once you see the set pictures is an instant reaction on whether the new RoboCop appeals to you or not. My first impression isn’t all that favorable, and I can definitely say that I won’t be sold on the new vision until I see what it looks like on the big screen. To me, the original RoboCop in Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi classic looks like it is meant for urban action, and is robust enough to withstand a nuclear blast. I also appreciate all the aesthetic touches, like the silver gloss finish and the darker flexible joints that allowed RoboCop to move about so fluidly, and the visor still stands out like a motherfucker. As for the new RoboCop, not much can be said in comparison; it looks like a plastic model ready for a kid to play with. And it should come with a warning label that reads: “Please keep object away from fire.”

But hot chicks in cosplay wasn’t the only reason for our going to the Montreal ComicCon. The dudes came out to play as well. OK, that’s not as exciting, so our attention also turned to well, comic books, namely Crossed (you’ll want to wash with steel wool after reading this), Clive Barker‘s latest, and The Walking Dead. There was a lot more, but come on; did you really expect us to list them all? As you can imagine, the zombie cosplayers were among some of the best, though there were no original takes on the monster.

Naturally, there were a number of celebrities in attendance (like Gunnar Hansen, there), and this year’s main attraction was William Shatner. Though we didn’t get any alone time with him, we did manage to pick the brains of a few talents in attendance. Stay tuned for our video interviews coming to your computer screen shortly. Here are a couple of hints: one of our interviewees is a B-movie legend (director, producer, writer, and actor), and another is an FX legend and occasional actor.

Today, we start our week almost the same way. More on-set pics have been released, featuring before shots of Moretz looking adorable in prom-queen pink and a few more after pics rage-ifying in her blood-gown. There’s also a picture taken mid-carnage, which shows Chloe/Carrie losing her shit as smoke billows behind her, and kids run for cover.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moretz talked about her gory get-up, saying:

“We only have, like, four chances to get it right. Because that stuff stains your hair.”

I bet it does. Suck it up though, Chloe! You’re portraying an iconic character here. This is no time to worry about your luscious blonde locks, darling.

As the deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, Alice will have to fight against her allies in a battle set up by the Umbrella Corporation. She’s the last, and only hope for the survival of the human race.

Paul W.S. Anderson also returned to direct Resident Evil: Retribution along with Michelle Rodriguez, Shawn Roberts, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Boris Kodjoe, and Oded Fehr who reprise their roles from previous Resident Evil films. Retribution is scheduled for 3D theatrical release on September 14th, 2012.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Deleted Zombie Attack Scene

In this clip following Shane’s rescue, we see the survivors trying to seek shelter with some familiar faces from season 1 — Guillermo and the Vatos. But when Rick and Co. arrive back at the nursing home where Glenn was once held hostage, well… the people they find there are not people at all, setting off a frenzied attack.
