Battlecross Debut New Track, “Force Fed Lies”

There are a lot of metal fans that claim America can’t do metal. I won’t get into name dropping because someone out there will undoubtedly start criticizing, then I’ll have to hunt down said naysayer. Then I’ll wind up in prison. I will say, however, that Battlecross is definitely an American metal act to watch. A blend of thrash (or as they like to call it, “blue-collar thrash”) and melodic death metal, Battlecross hails from Detroit, Michigan, and anyway you put it, they are a blistering metal band of the purest kind.

Battlecross War Of Will coverBattlecross has recently unveiled the title, cover art, and first single from their upcoming new album, War of Will. The new album was co-produced at Audio Hammer Studios with famed producers Mark Lewis and Eyal Levi. “War of Will triggers a strange Déjà Vu while feeling completely brand new,” says Levi.

The new track, “Force Fed Lies,” is a driving, thrashy giant that demands you to push your speakers to their limits. It’s at once classic and new sounding. Definitely something you should be listening to this summer (and for the rest of your metal life).

After a fist-pumping debut and impressive breakout tours in 2012, Battlecross will continue their climb as one of metal’s most impressive new bands with appearances at the Orion Music + More, with Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, and Suicidal Tendencies in the band’s hometown of Detroit and the 4th Annual *GwarBQ, with Municipal Waste and Corrosion of Conformity.

War of Will hits the street July 9, 2013, just as the band heads out for the summer on the Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Tour with Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Machine Head, Behemoth, Mastodon, and more.
