10 seconds is hardly a teaser in my book, but that’s all the glimpse AMC is giving us right now into the world of Fear the Walking Dead, a spin-off to the hit series . Although, the clip is extremely short and doesn’t give us much on what’s to come on the show, I at least get the sense Fear the Walking Dead is going to be very different from the original. According to creator Robert Kirkman, the show will focus on two families as society begins to break down on the West Coast in the early days of the zombie plague.
In addition, the IGN the zombies are not going to be as decayed and monstrous as on the original show.are also going to be very different. Kirkman told
[The zombies in Fear the Walking Dead are] not going to be as decayed, and they’re not going to be as monstrous, which is going to make the violence in the show and the different things that happen that much more startling. Because we’re going to be dealing with a much more human walker. So while there is going to be a tremendous amount of paranoia and psychological trauma, I think there’s not going to be any loss of zombie action or excitement in this show. We’ll be bringing in the best of both worlds.
In the unsettling new teaser above, you actually get to see a walker for a split second, and a peek at missing person posters. That’s pretty much all until the next trailer, which I think will drop very soon since Fear the Walking Dead hits AMC in August.
