Masters Of The Universe Reboot Movie Will Drop In 2019

Masters of the Universe

Get your nerd boner ready! Here comes the Masters of the Universe reboot news you’ve all been waiting for. Well, not entirely everyone has been waiting for it, but mostly those who grew up in the 80’s and toyed with He-Man in a non-sexual kind of way.

A reboot is definitely coming soon, but not soon enough as Sony Pictures has set an official release date for the live-action film, which will be out in two years from now. So that’s a long wait for anyone who doesn’t have much patience. If the reboot isn’t a critical and commercial failure like the 1987 film, then the wait shouldn’t have much importance since fans deserve something equivalent to the show that ran from 1983 until 1985.

According to multiple online source, including Box Office Mojo, Masters of the Universe reboot is schedule for a winter release in 2019. In fact, Sony will drop the film on December 18th, 2019.

The heroic warrior He-Man battles against lord Skeletor and his armies of darkness for control of Castle Grayskull.

Previously, it was reported that McG (Terminator Salvation, 2000’s Charlie’s Angels) was targeted to helm the project, but his name was later removed from the reboot entirely. It appears like the studio is still searching for the right director to direct Masters of the Universe from a screenplay which will be penned by David S. Goyer (Blade II, Man of Steel).
